I like the idea of the MPC. But in reality I really do hate writing in automation. It really should work like ableton. After they get there timeline view figured out, i wonder what else will pop up... like not being able to move clips properly or clips moving around oddly when deleted or placed between others. I know this stuff because i also do video editing and they have these same issues at times. I love the mpc, but for the price i could get a used macbook to take over my other one ive been djing on. More or less im buying an OB-6. I know its expensive but i feel like they are gonna stop making them soon. I also do know that Dave Smith has a new synth coming out in August but i dont like buying products within the first year of release. Im already waiting on the novation summit to iron out there encoder issues as well as there AT Bed issues ive heard about. So once all those models sell off, ill pick one up.
I dont see the mpc as the center of a studio. once again to me it is a drum machine sampler. everyones opinion is different. I dont want a bunch of hardware to mix and master. I master in ableton easy peazy.
Too many sequencers in sequencers. like damn... Theres one in like everything these days. Its nice to have but it can mess up your midi depending on how they have it config'd. especially with these new mpcs.
May look for a used mpc one in the future just bang out, destroy and not care about, but honestly... If it allowed all 6 inputs to be used at once, given us a proper timeline i would of loved this machine more.

2.8 was hyped first said it was the best now all these glitches lol Im done, Akai is not looking at what l need so lve moved on. Won't be buying any new MPCs. It will never be the center of my studio, to limited.
As you saud the work flow. I move faster in my DAW and with power. That automation in 2.8 was buggin 
a nightmare.
When you sell l hope you get the amount you're looking for.

Not sure if waiting for 3.0 is worth it for me at this point. Love mpcs but I make crazy progress in my daw. More fluent. Been on mpcs and daws togethe for years. If anything I dont want my mpc to be like a center of the studio. Rather just a drum machine and samples. I dont care for their plug ins. I got hardware and software synths. Just want a more fluent workflow I guess.
Plus you already read I said I was never getting another MPC, you were in those conversations.
