note variation slider stops sequencer in slave mode

wondering if someone could check this behaviour on their machine.. If the 2000xl is in midi slave mode and I try to assign the note variation slider with the sequencer playing.. it stops the sequencer. It doesn't do this when its in internal sync mode. Im using os 1.14

if someone could check this out for me I would much appreciate it
