Bob Katz’s K system is cool. You use Studio One for mastering? Which K plugs do you use for metering? I need to get a better K meter.

I believe you're a generalist, because you must contend with so many elements. They call us, "Jack of All Trades and Master of None". But that term, WRONG and was made for people, who lacks a larger view of the situation. Also the full phrase is, “A jack of all trades is a master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one.”

Many think we're unfocused, but it's the exact opposite. We tend to be very organized, independent, work extremely well under pressure, and we can't be controlled. The last is the true reason, why they try to discredit us. :smoker:

Our development takes more time, however once we've hit our peak. Just get out of our way and watch. A generalist needs many great teachers, because of our ability to absorb and retain so much. Many want to make us into single bullets, instead of being what we are. NUCLEAR WORLD ENDING WEAPONS!

Mastering Meter:

CLARITY M or CLARITY M STEREO

Besides listening to Reggae, I know next to nothing about producing it. How badly do you guys want me to embarrass myself? :D

I think we are going with a reggae theme. Doesn’t have to be a fully written reggae song, just have elements. Have fun with it.

I love Studio One's mastering system setup. It has a total different section from the sequencer. It has everything thing right there. Stock plugs are top notcth.
 It also does Red Book CD rendering, l know you would love that. I love the fact l can UPDATE LOUDNESS and show you if your RMS is balanced (if you have a well balanced mix) you can see my illustration below. LUFS is totally available. I had mines on LU so from now on it will be on LUFS accirding to sites. -12db on the limiter as you saud. I can't master in Reason like this but l mix there. The mix has to be good. It has TP=True Peak all the goods you need to master. I use a 3 chain system to master. The limiter is on the end of that chain.

Cool. I use Wavelab for mastering work. But I always stress, I'm NOT a mastering engineer. LOL. When it's for another artist, I send it out for mastering. For mine? Yeah, I use WaveLab.

I’d give it a day or two. Charles is coming up on votes. We need to come up with a rule to prevent playlist pimping. These battles should be focused around new production. It seems to hit the other beat battles too.
