Thanks fellas.

I like this idea of key groups (or something) for losing the battle. Also adds another dimension to coming back stronger. Because you don't want somebody to use your sounds on the next battle, and beat you. HAHA. Can't give somebody your sounds and have them come iller with them than you. LOL

100%. This ain't no I.O.U either.

You're right it's should be 10 key groups for turning in Pop, when it's was suppose to be Motown inspired.

Wrong! That was an Urban RnB with motown elements

Please explain what musical element of that was 60/70 MOTOWN?

The chord progression?
Walking Bassline?
Live drums kit?
Instrumentation?
Song Structure?

It's a good POP song but it's not Motown. Not even the feel.

 oh man... y’all nuts. I’ll stick with no reentry till you submit and post your keygroup, meaning keygroup, to the thread once consensus is in. I think it’s a wrap by now and will hold myself to the same standard.

So y’all want to do reggae next maybe give it a day or two for people to “sign up” or agree? I haven’t started yet but after tomorrow my weekend starts. So I’ll pay the loser tax and start working on it.

Any lurkers want to get down, speak up and add some input. I’m proposing we do a reggae theme, doesn’t have to be a true blue reggae song, we can use samples but has to be a brand new production. We have to go off honor system. Feel free to amend or expand on my idea we have a day or two to start back up.

The Horn is Motown.

Now where do you get Pop from? Its an Urban RnB club jump off.

man you cant enter until you submit your tax. so if you and eyalc wanted to throw down right now youd be good. if i want to enter I have to submit my keygroup.

how you gonna take dub out? I really wanted to give my mixing board a work out....

im down for everything else, but the samples part. However on the same no loops tip. if you want to slice some trojan drums, get an air raid horn, and sample some easy marley chords, why not? I am just going for a reggae theme, and want more people to throw down and see how fun they can be, lets see some creativity.

danoc.... your track was dope but there was nothing mo-town about it... look what the peanut gallery said, even charles who had a less developed track, because he followed the rules, had more votes than you. Not trying to hate but look at the spectrum from you to eyalc. spin all you want but you aint changing minds. Don't get me wrong, your track should be on Kiss FM, while the others tried for something on the oldies station or your uncles record collection.

do what you do. I'd love to see some of the guys do a dope boom bap track with reggae samples.
still shaking my head about taking dub out. thats where the whole vib is at... like I said charles will be coming with the lovers rock minus the vocals, with the British inverted chord professions, alternate 5/8 timing and all done at 45 BPM
