Creating new sequence with button press

Hello everything I want to make a drum beat. Click a button combination and it copy’s the sequence to another unused sequence. Then I can record onto that sequence. It would make creating a song live easy. Right now I need to get out of grid, go to main and click the A button and click on copy sequence. It totally takes me out of the vibe.

Weak! Man I could crank out songs so much easier live. Maybe the good folks at Akai will see this!

Just to get it straight; copying a sequence takes about 5 seconds, give or take. And those 5 seconds take you ''totally out of the vibe?"

I thought i'd check with some other samplers, octatrack and digitakt. But they require you copy the pattern first, then go to the pattern and then paste it. Even takes onger than the mpc i think.

Well, i guess you have to get used to getting out of the vibe. Or perhaps change your method and idea's of playing live.

Redefine vibe...
