numark v7 turntable

peace: I'm trying to put some scratches on a beat i created with my mpc touch i currently have a numark v7 turntable & a gemini pmx 350 mixer i have both 1/4 wires coming out of the mixer going in to the mpc touch in just can't seem to hear anything or get a sound can some one please help even when toggle between the preferences need help asap......
