Really don't have a problem with the current plugins, is pretty amazing to have all this stuff inside an MPC, plus it seems more to come. Not expecting top end quality on these things, but really don't see much to complain about here.

Would be good if Akai opened it all up to third party plugin developers, plus seems weird that they don't just convert all the Air Music stuff over and add them as paid upgrades in their expansion store. Clearly a big market for it and obvious opportunity to generate more income from existing users. I think most people would prefer a flexible synth over yet another generic trap expansion.

What l don't agree with you on is not expecting TOP END QUALITY PLUGINS :hmmm: Huh? If they can't give top notch plugins don't put them in the MPC as garbage. This is not 2004 things should be at high quality.

I agree where there should be the Air stuff in the MPCs. I bought a few of the Air instruments and put them on my main computer.

To me Akai is getting played out

By top quality I'm referring to higher end, expensive plugins. Did anyone really think they are going to get a $400 plugin like omnisphere as part of a free MPC firmware update?

Getting bread and butter plugins is a nice bonus, no one expected this three years ago. Anyway, the current plugins are not garbage, that's a ridiculous thing to say. If you need better plugins, you can use controller mode and buy third party vsts

Air effects are very good quality.
Just chain them if you need something more complicated.
Many top quality plugins- like Eventide and many more- are just chains of effects.
So take Air effects and chain them. They are perfect for that.
And they do sound very good.

Standalone plugins do exactly what they were put there for imo and I’m glad they are there.

I noticed you didn't put what l said " A SCALED DOWN VERSION OF OMNISPHERE " very important to state that. It would absolutely not cost "$400 beans to use as a plugin within the MPC. Bit lets be reasonable ,lm not talking about the present MPC lm talking about the new MPCs and how they should of done it.
