acually mines is purple and green depending on the light. i used 2 tone paint from autozone. the stickers though i cut out where the buttons were so they would look cool on top of em. then i clearcoated that to make it stay. i used a sharpie on the note var slider and the volume knobs then clearcoated them also. i did **** up the top though above the knobs and wrote my initials on it. its cool casue i dont ever want to sell my mpc, theres no need too. just understand u cant get new cases casue the serail number is issued on the case. i dont think akai sells thouse seperate. also my buttons dont have text, but i know it inside out so i dont need it. djames had a thread though for a template to use to get the text back. hit him up with a pm.

black pads are 41.00 from akai.......also when you take the cover off......on the underside take the clear white tabs out.......these white tabs are your light tunnels......it might not make sense now but when you take it off and flip it over you will see exactly what I am referring to.

Good Luck

over-priced Forat custom jobs = tacky as a gold trim package on a Buick Skylark. what is w/ their lame ass fonts and designs from'83 (granted, there is some great stuff buried in there)? their big pads are just goofy as well.

I was looking for info on this way back, and did a search with tons of posts. Still have the link bookmarked, so here it is:

Like said above it sounded like the agreed method was to get one of those primer, paint, and clearcoat kits they sell at the auto stores. I painted mine a few years back cuz I also knew "I'd never sell mine"... but then I found an SE3 (chrome with black) and I always wanted one... so I sold my silver one.
