I saw a few in ebay. I was wondering since they are close seqeuncer wise to an mpc, do they have note repeat and full level functions?

ASQ10 sequencer is identical to that which is in an MPC60.
The interface is a little bit different.
Note repeat is present.

i dont think it has full level, it doesnt have any drumpads or triggers on it. you could probably do some editing to get it though...

as for note repeat, if you are referring to POLY, MONO, or NOTE OFF modes as in the MPC, the ASQ10 will ONLY HAVE THESE FEATURES IF YOU HAVE THE 3.10e OS INSTALLED IN THE ASQ... i doubt if youd find many used ASQs with the OS updated, they will most likely be OS version 2.*...
you can update it yourself though by ordering the OS EPROMS from ROGER LINN DESIGNS for $195...

cool, I have a roland s50 i use as a keyboard controller into my mpc2000 that sequences my xl-7 and vsti's running in vstack. Since emu is is releasing all the proteus sound sets, I placed my xl-7 up for sale on ebay. The money is going to fund my proteus x purchase and possibly one of these asq10s. I barely use my mpc for sampling, just sequencing. But the note repeat is crucial to me, I am drum roll happy! :)

Just checked my email and the seller said there is no note repeat button. Maybe this person is selling it on cosignment? If it stays cheap, I'll buy it.

Correct ... FULL LEVEL is a DRUM PAD specific function.

No DRUM PADs on an ASQ-10.

You can use the MIDI input filter section to do this.

Or process the events POST recording.

Just NOTE REPEAT for sequenced data. Not the same as sample and envelope retriggering on re-struck keys/pads like an MPC-60/3000.

NOTE REPEAT for sequence entry in real time via the timing correct key is present in version 2.12 and other 2.XX version to my knowledge. Certainly stated quite clearly in the user manual too.

Okay since you said the 60 and the asq10 are the same layout, I downloaded the mpc60 manual off the internet(couldn't find one for the asq10 for the life of me). You are right, the time correct button is what i use to preform rolls . I'm sorry I thought since the asq is an mpc sequencer, it would be labeled note repeat like on my machine. Toward the end of the manual gave info on how to filter incoming data. I looked up roger linns's site and the only advantage the new os would give me is an option to export my midi files to smf so I can clean up my sequences in a program. not worth that much money for that even though I was doing that a lot in tracktion and cakewalk when i first start sequencing post mmt8.
