well they guy defentaly knew how to make a beat,
if time is money, I asume he's doing quite well,
I was impressed..

of corse it stiff and messey ..but he he's doing it live..
I assume he utalizes swing and TC off in the studio and creates wicked tracks!

...btw I think the keyboard is a black waldorf Micro Q ..

If anything, the guy know how to hit them pads! Especially after 3 years.

No seriously.. My MPC is allready on the used market for sale. After watching them MV videos on Rolandus.com and reading thru posts on the mvnation.com, I clearly made up my mind! I want an MV-8000!! Yammmmmmiee .
What Jeremy Ellis does on his 2000xl, is perfectly "do-able" with an MPC60 (wich has the best butter-ish pads ever btw).
When I can play and have some rhythms myself, Ill cop the 60 back. First I gonna make and learn to make music on the MV, without use of a computer. The MV with the VGA board is perfect for me. I then need no Nuendo or Cubase to co-midi sequence with my MV or MPC. The MV does it all. And that way I can cop a 002 and use Pro tools only for tracking audio (because pro tools hasnt got as plesant MIDI sequence features as Nuendo, MV-8000).
I see my setup like this (within some time):
MV-8000 + VGA board and flat screen
Digi 002 (the faderbox thingie) with PTLE 6.7
iMac G5
S-5000 with USB board
Virus Indigo I
MPC60 with OS 2

Yet, I havent got one of those, I know for sure it would be perfect! The only thing Im not quite sure of is the sound of the MV.. The MPC4000 has a wonderfull sound! But I can always go for a Z4/8. Best of both worlds I guess..

what is it that you think the MW will give you in that setup that the MP can't ?

if your going to run digi02
and a mac, why trade the 4k for
MW MPC60 S5000.. only advantage I see in this
is more outputs and more charghter in the mix,
but its just so much hassel..

get the Mac, a S900 or an Emax1 + the indigo..
or just the mac & the idigo, surly the 4k can
handel all your sampling needs..
the 4k is such a superior sampler!!
get a Vsynth to compliment the MPC,
much more versitile, or t least try out
the MW before you jump..

Simply, because I want one machine to sequence MIDI with. The sequencer on any MPC is too limited for my needs..
And thats about it, really..


I trully envy people that can make good music on an MPC, because they know more about rhythms and stuff.
I always need to adjust something here and there in my midi sequence and thats a pain the arszz on the 4k.
