Standalone Mode to Controller Mode

Why went I'm working on a project in standalone and switch to controller mode, the project I'm working on doesn't load up. How do I load a project when in controller mode

What do I have to do to hear the sound out of my speakers when in controller mode

Save standalone project to sd/hdd/usb stick (don’t save to default internal sd).
On computer start mpc software/ on standalone start controller mode.
In mpc software locate your project from your standalone drives, load it.

Physically take this drive to your computer and open the project via mpc software.

I was able to load up my project in controller mode but the sound is only coming through my laptop but not my monitors.

How do I get sound through my speakers while in controller mode? Thank you
