Macbook Pro Not Getting MIDI From MPC ONE via USB

Hello,
I just received my MPC ONE and I'm excited to start working with it. However, it's not connecting to my MacBook Pro via USB. I'm not able to send or receive MIDI in Logic or ProTools, and it's not showing up in Audio MIDI Setup. I was just able to update the firmware over USB, so I'm not sure what's going on. Any advice wold be appreciated. Thanks!

I'm not sure if the mpc can sync with a usb cable from the computer to the mpc.. shouldn't you have a midi interface?
