Just replace the Acoustic Disco 4 on the Floor drums with Drum Machine and replace the strings and guitar with Synth.
Yeah, and limited sampling technology (maybe some tape cutting or other similar tricks?), so while you've got synthesis, a lot of it sounds like super raw, minimal fx. A lot of it sounds like east coast style synthesis, though I haven't dug too deep into tracks yet. Where there are drum machines sometimes I'm hearing some fairly bog standard patterns, but the performance plays around it. Good arps and chord progressions...
So far what I've heard is pretty simple but effective. I was originally going to do some old school sample tricks, but even that I don't think will sound authentic. Now I'm considering synthesizing my own kick, snare, hat, etc... sounds, because it will be a good exercise, and when I lose I can drop some more samples off for you guys
