Yes, I looked it up in User Guide. Yes, I tried to do it myself on MPC One. I suspect the answer is "no", but I want to ask in case I'm missing something obvious :)

Say I have a 1 bar long sequence, that repeats in Song Mode 4 times, i.e. for the duration of 4 bars. Is there any way I can record automation move - say a filter sweep - that's 4 bar long and plays while the sequence is looping?

:hmmm:

Yeah, wanted to avoid that if possible because then changing one note in that 1-bar sequence means I need to repeat the edits in all the copies. Oh well... :Sigh:

Thanks for confirming, though! :)

Either Tutor's way or Turn it into a 4-Bar Sequence,,,then you can record an Automated Filter Sweep Flawlessly

I've not gotten myself the One to use a DAW :)

While Tutor's solution is literally the only way to do it right now, this how I do it: I build my projects treating sequencer history and assembled songs like "Reason Blocks". I use my separate sequences to to change notes as needed, and just covert my song to a new sequence. That way I have a list of (song length) sequences that build a history of my project changes, so I can go back to one of I don't like my changes.

I know, it's sort of a pain in the ass, but it's the only way I know how to get around the automation limit. Really hoping automations in song mode is a feature that's added in 3.0.
