Drum Synth and fix the bugs...

I would love a tuner, bipolar pitch envelopes, enable effect automation, arrange view would also be nice. Don’t need a pathetic drum synth.

Bug fixes and a better way to arrange beats.

More broken futures and bugs.

A few extra gimmicks. That's my prediction.

Eventually a blanket lawsuit where all the MPC form members participate and we win and split 100 million

tighten up the chop algorithm so you can actually use a the full range of threshold settings...

+1 Threshold is not a great way to chop unless you've got crazy hard transients... would be happy to see it have a better curve to improve detection...

The Beat Thang had led pads, an app, 4 hour battery, preset sounds, track export, dual sd card, USB A & B ports, qwerty keyboard support. Auto chop, keyspan, etc. How I see it, the BEAT THANG is the MPC LIVE and ONE without the touch screen.

Everyone has their workflow pet peeves, and laundry list of items they would like to see, but I think just focussing on bugs and broken stuff needs to be done to maintain good faith with current owners.

If people start to believe that a piece of gear is too buggy to trust for serious work, or to use live, then that can hurt sales. I think the OS in all these machines is quite complicated (comparatively speaking), so people will be reluctant to learn all that, if they think it's got a minefield of bugs in there. Regardless of how bad those bugs might actually be. Appease the base.

When I first bought my MPC Live, I ran through it with the manual in hand and then put it aside for a year. I knew it had potential, but that first release was just a nightmare, and something I wasn't going to invest time in for preparing live sets with. Now I'm using it much more.

Yikes! That was an expensive studio paperweight purchase. What version was the software/firmware on when you bought your Live?

I think it was 2.4 when I bought mine. Was very usable, then (especially with the addition of all of those Air effects and Mother Ducker), and relatively bug stable. I'd been watching it for a while before purchasing, and 2.3 (with the addition of the standalone virtual synths) was the one that made me seriously consider it.

I was around for 2.2.1 i believe(I may be wrong).....

And the Firmware was Atrocious! Lots of bugs. The worst one for me.... it use to take Literally Two and Half Minutes to Start up!

The Firmware has come a Long Way in my opinion
