It’s usable... I havnt even tried fader I don’t think fader will work very well because of the track ordering mentioned above.

I’ve been experimenting with my new Klerk teknik 1176 through my SSL SiX mixer more recently feeding it with my Korg Kronos 2 (it’s been a busy year for buying gear for me!) I upgraded my Apollo twin to Apollo X8 too! And I’ve pre ordered the SP2400 Isla instruments and bought an iMac

How the klark teknik 1176? Been eyeing that up. Oddly prices are not that cheap in Oz, well they are cheap, but quite a bit more than prices in UK. Never loved the waves plugin but always wanted the real thing.

Klerk teknik 1176 are tough to get now, because people are buying and changing the caps, transistors, reducing the noise floor, etc.

So far I’m enjoying the Klark teknik kt-76!

Have only used it a few times, recorded some vocals and used it on some bass , it’s my first hardware compressor (other than the one knob compressors in the SSL six!)

No obvious issues with it so far the noise floor is fine on it!

Notice a worthy difference compared to using a plugin. I'm also tempted by the klark teknik pultec eq. Wanna add flavor and compression to drums and bass.

My Console 1 and Fader 1 will be here sometime today. I can't wait!!!

2. I'm currently in the middle of renovating my home studio.

Yeah, the Console 1 and Fader 1 arrived yesterday and I still haven't opened the shipping box yet to look at them.

The box was heavy so that's a good sign.

I also installed a new rail rack system for my new synth wall and did a stress test using my Poly D and Odyssey which are both built like tanks, so I now know my wall is secure because those synths are heavy.

Today I applied some acoustic foam diffusers for that synth wall area and tomorrow I'm doing the bass traps and some additional diffusers.

I also purchased an Avantone Mixcube and a passive monitor switcher so I can step my mix game up a notch, now that I got the Console 1 and Fader1 my mix performance should improve greatly, this is a very exciting time for me...

Yeah, the Console 1 and Fader 1 arrived yesterday and I still haven't opened the shipping box yet to look at them.

Since I can't sleep I decided to open up the box with my new Softube gear.
I'm very big into graphic and packaging design and they do not disappoint at all.
The built quality is solid!
I wouldn't be surprised if Behringer clones this.
Sorry I couldn't resist making that joke.
I'm very excited about setting this up but that's gonna have to wait until I finish with this renovation project...

If so I’d be curious how you get on with them in mpc software. The c1 I find works great but the fader I’m curious on as I havnt even tried that in mpc land!

Many thanks, and I will do, I'm hoping that it will work out, but if not I have Studio One which from what I understand they work great with and LUNA which is rumored to be in the works already.
