my pads are acting funny--in desperate need of help

Ive have experience the same exact problem you are having, the only solution i know is to get it repaired, a person like me will get it repair if you paid 300 for it, i paid 250 for mines pads messed up + 405 in repair total cost 655.00, and it works great, i could of got one from ebay in good condition for about 700-800 bucks easily, take the chance and send it out or let me know if you wanna get rid of it. My theory is that the black connector the connects the pad sensor is loose from the motherboard and it needs resoldering or maybe replace and plus the sensor pad end connector is damaged, im not trying to misinform you, guess what i was a victim of this second hand mpc pad banging glitch. open it up and push the ribbon cable by the pads in harder. i meant u have to break it in with u not the mpc.

I need to fix 2 pads on my 2Kxl cos the two pads 10 & 11 keep playing the same shit and can't be seperated.

Where can I find out how to do this ribbon fixing sh!t? is it difficult? is there anything I should be careful of so that I don't make things worse and mess my MPC up proppa style?

Any guidance would be much appreciated,

just pop the case off, then push the cable in. this is 90% of pad problems ive seen on here.

Have I got to pull off the grey padded bit that goes over the pads?

ive fixed it. matter of fact, i dont think there was anything wrong with it in the first place. I used one of those "why didnt i think of this before?" strategies.

I took the top off of my mp
i took away the gray rubber pads
cut the thing on
pressed the bare sensors...

and i found that nothing was wrong but a little "breaking in" (thanks binger)
i put it all back together and everything works perfectly now.

i feel soooo stupid.. i was about to take it somewhere to get something repaired that doesnt need repairing.

thanks everybody, but i feel like a complete @ss. I guess thats what i have to do to become a pro with my mp
