The Sampler

When sampling vinyl the manual says to use input 1,2. My level meter does not not moving while the record is playing until I change the setting to inputs 3,4.

the turntable I use in the vintage Technique SL1700.

Switch the button on the back to phono and crank up the volume button thats next to it.

You said in your OP that inputs 3,4 cause the level meter to show a signal. Can you hear it? Does it sound OK? Also, we're assuming you have the monitoring button engaged?

If you did this right, then something could also be wrong with your turntable, cables or mpc input..

Yes I can hear and yes I see a meter reading in output 3,4 but when I switch to output1,2 I loose the meter reading but I can still hear sound.

What is the monitoring button and where is it located. Thank you

read the manual about the monitoring button.... it's in my signature

Kind of odd the monitoring is set to 'off' when you start a new project. Used to get me looking at all the connections

i made the same mistake when i just got the live. on older mpc's i believe it's always on.

I like it being off by default, personally. I've had one-too-many feedback loops and unexpected SCREEEEEEEECH events when I wasn't paying attention. Lol I think that's why I have tinnitus.

My tinnitus had gone away but I just got flashback from reading this
