Hi there,
having an issue since I updated my MPC X to the 2.8.1 soft- and firmware.
The display stops updating almost once a beat and then jumps to the correct position.
Found that problem while reading and following the mpc bible (004 First Look....), loading Basic Drum Beat.sqx
Anybody else with this problem or ideas what to do?
I already reset to defaults and disconnected external drives / SD cards. Only a new SSD card is still in the
machine, short after the update (Samsung 860 pro 256gb)

Have a nice day.

Akai said it's maybe a hardware thing...
Well, still on warranty.
Keep you informed.

Might be annoying, take out the ssd. And just do a project from the factory samples and see if the problem still persist.

It's been recommended to also reset the system/preferences after you update the firmware.

Removed everything and it didn't help.

Now it's going back to AKAI (warranty). :x

When it comes back, I'll gonna patch it to enable SSH and then backup the eMMC partitions.

Really bad sh**, AKAI !

Does this problem happen with Multiple Projects? Or New Projects on the 2.8.1 ?

Solved: Today (waiting for a email from the pickup service) , I started getting impatient, so I unboxed the MPC X again and reflashed the 2.8 firmware. First, I encountered the same problem. After resetting preferences, I had a look at the WiFi settings and I saw, that the MPC couldn't connect to the WiFi anymore, but retried avery couple of seconds. I deleted the WiFi credentials and switched the WiFi off. Guess what... problem gone! Even after reconnecting to the WiFi (which then worked fine) no problems anymore.

My advice so far: turn off WIFI / BT if not needed.
