Hello! I'm trying to connect my MPC One to a Bitbox Micro eurorack module via TRS A midi cable, but the MPC will not recognize it. It's on 2.8.1. Any tips on connecting or setting up TRS midi devices would be great appreciated! Be well and stay safe!

I'm assuming you're using a TRS to male 5-Pin DIN MIDI, and plugging the male 5-pin DIN MIDI into your MPC One's female 5-pin DIN MIDI port? Just trying to confirm you aren't plugging your Bitbox Micro's included cable TRS into the MPC One's CV-ports....

The Bitbox Micro comes with a female 5-pin DIN MIDI cable. So if you're using that, plug the Bitbox cable TRS into the Bitbox TRS MIDI port, and use a regular male 5-pin DIN MIDI cable (both ends) and plug that into both the Bitbox cable and your MPC One's 5-pin DIN.

Or buy one of these:

Hahah no problem! The only thing I should mention is that this is a Eurorack MIDI-DIN cable adapter. It's not in spec for standard MIDI (TRS MIDI A or B specification), as far as I know.

Speaking of which, I have no idea if this will work with the MPC One/Live/X or not, since the MPC's MIDI-DIN ports are standard spec). The OP should probably consider just sticking to CV, since the Bitbox Micro eurorack has plenty of CV input (for gate and mod). As far as I know the Bitbox TRS MIDI input is compatible with Arturia controllers only. Could be wrong, though.

The description seems kind of suspect after reading... talks about amplification and stuff... guess I'll need to check pin outs compared to what my gear is looking for... and yeah, def won't work for CV... but might be fine for OP-Z OP Lab or other TRS to MIDI devices.

Thanks for the reply! Got one just in case! I’m still struggling to set the midi track up correctly. I can get the bitbox, which is set to Omni, to respond when I’m in Midi Control. Says midi channel 10 and in bank C, but when I switch back to main, dead silence. I’m Not sure what to select in terms of program ch, bank msb, bank lsb, and midi port. Under preferences, nothing shows up. Just midi and remote. Thanks again for all the help!
