Hello all. Im new to the mpc live. I've been doing some research but its all a bit over my head. I have a presonus auidobox and I want to record guitar direct onto my mpc live. Will this work? Or do I need to get a di box

I rec a proper mixer for any real recording into the MPC LIVE: vocals, percussion, etc.

Solid used mixers can be had for $100-200, $$$ well spent.

to directly record it into the mpc, you need a pre-amp or indeed a di-box.

Check out this nice video from matthew stratton, he will guide you step by step how to set it up.

As long as the audiobox is powered, you should be able to plug in your guitar into Input 1 and send it out to output 1 to the MPC LIVE's input. Essentially using it as DI with gain knobs.

Which audiobox do you have?
