No, don't bother messing with folders or file structures. You need to run the actual Factory Content installer for your MPC Live to properly restore all content as well as file structure. There's no telling what the previous owner did to that Live.

Glad it worked out for you!

I ended up exporting other expansions that were in the Live after reinstall, that came with 2.8 I guess, found the Expansion folder in autotune/data/Expansions and reinstall with a Corsair GTX USB 3 drive.
Back to the state it was in except the kits I mentioned had their samples returned, so it’s perfect now.
Added a 256 Samsung 850 Pro SSD, and the SD Card seems to work well transferring to software from hardware, and vice versa.



Hopefully I cam become worthy and returned the kindness in the future.

I don't see anyone simply pointing to the AKAI MPC main website.
ASll the Instal files are there in your account, providing you have registered your MPC.

That's for FIRMWARE< SOFTWARE AND EXTENTIONS et etc...

The factory restore files are NOT in your account, those are just the OS firmware. Thanks to someone sharing the file for the original Live around on the internet a couple years ago, Akai doesnt hand those out anymore and now you get to pay and send your unit in if you need it restored because people on the internet have no respect for anyone's rules.

Just yesterday they sent me the file for MPC ONE from Akai support. It took a while but everything is in order now. They still send the factory autorun file :_)

I'm so close to decrypt that autorun hashing algo but still no cigar...
I've followed every single function call and every single variable that is involved in hashing but still missing that one extra step on top of final hash. This would greatly help end users to deal with problems with their mpcs as the autorun don't require any modifications to the firmware in order to run system critical scripts and commands. Imagine you could clear your stuck preferences / clear the authorization files / transfer all your shit from internal storage and do any of the general maintenance with just a 50kb bash script which can be serialized so the only the person with correct serial number can run it...

No ada or ghidra set up over here. I bet it's just xor.. result = operand1 ^ operand2; got the routine isolated in assembly? Gimme a dump of the subroutine that refers to the encrypted label. You need to come on irc so I can talk to you directly, all other social media platforms are orwellian.
