Is this possible

Hey hey....is it possible to load the song that i made on my mpc in to fruity loops mixing board....if i assign a bass kick on my mpc to channel one ...would it then be possible to load that sound into fl studio on track one. Also I would like to be able to save a mpc song to an fl track but when i do it...it just saves it as a wav file....how can i get it from that wave file and back into fl.....also what up Bravo.....I have'nt tried the choping of a sample to get it to change with the tempo of fl when it is the master....is this a fairly easy process.....i'm not understanding what really happens when you chop....but i guess that's why i got to try it first.....lol....and each time before i post i try and read my manual and experiment......Also is there anyone reading this from the denver colorado area...i'm looking to work with any artist or another producer .....trying to get things poppin out here....

I say put down the FL thing and love your MP for a minute. Ur trying to do to much at once. Why you want your MP beat in FL??? Why not do it in one or the other. Ur kind a defeating the object of the process

The MP is a beast. U gotta study it and understand what it does....Then u'l understand how to marry it with other things. Think of it like a new friend. If you dont get to know them properly, u may never really get on. Eventually, u wont speak. Same for the MP

The chopping thing : Chopping samples/breaks into pieces give u more control. U can put it back like a jigsaw or make up ur own little jigsaw. Have a look at recycle (Check website) When u see the visual and read up a bit you should get what I was saying in the other thread

Hey thanks Bravo for the advice....i'm feelin ya on the power of the mp......i'm loving this machine....hope i dont get carried away with it's sampling abilites......ok I will chill on the fl and just get to know my girl here alot better.....so far she is keeping me happy....when i first got it for about the first 10 days i was like what is the big deal with this machine what is everyone ranting about it for ......i was thinking of selling it....but now we are joined at the finger tips....how long you had your bravo...

FL or mpc, never both.

i was thinking the same thing. then, my music computer crashed (temporarily)...which forced me to learn my mp. I am sure as hell not worried about syncing the two beat monsters now. I love my mp, and i've only had it about a month. Get used to your mp...you'll probably never go back to FL (i've used fl for years, i like my mp better. all of the music on my soundclick site is fruity loops.)

Hey.....I was broke when i purchased it....that was all i could afford....and i made some pretty tight beats with it...all the songs on my soundclick are from fl studio....but now with my mp....the game is about to be stepped up....

fruity loops is excellent prodcution software. it has a sequncer, synths, samplers, effects, and a mixer. There is no need to bash it because its cheap and affordable. It just comes down to how u like to work and what enviroment is better for ur produciton. If u are good on a pc, then u might want to use fruity loops. if u like to use hardware use the mpc. i use the mpc synced to fruity loops, when i use it. But it is just like reason, another good piece of gear. Alot of people just use the presets instead of importing there own samples, which will give u chessy results. but no need to say **** fruityloops. if u can make beats u can rock both and achive the same results, probally with better results with fruityloops, due to effects and the mixer.

I have been a software producer for the past 11 yrs using proggies such as Scream tracker for the amiga, Impulse tracker and mod tracker. I was introduced to FL in 1999 (v3.0). I was amazed at the controls and the features. It was just as easy as my tracking software. I just put it down in December and got my 2k classic. I am having a ball learning this machine. I have not put it down since. At times i get frustrated because i miss seeing my tracks lined up on the screen or my ability to chop on a bigger screen but that is the beauty of being more creative i think.

My advice is to never try to mix. If you do just use FL as a module (ie SOFTSYNTHs, plugins). Do all your drums on the MP.

I wish there was still a tips/tricks avaliable for the 2kclassic tho. IM LEARNING..

just thinking, if you are new at making beats i would take some loops of Michael Jackson shit , chop it up (propellerhead's recycle save some time) and load the recycle slices on my mpc. check Mikes's History, bad and dangerous albums. learn how to pan the differnet pads in the mix. this should keep you busy making beats for a while and some nice beats at that.
