Do you have your MPC laying next to allot of AC-adapters?!

same thing happened to me on my 2000. i put the expanded memory in it, and every other time i turn it on it has static. its litterally every other time though. so i just turn it on , turn it off, then turn it on again and its fine. i think i need to take out the ram and put it in again, maybe its not in there correctly

Sup Bryan! Good to see you on here (I come and go).

I had the same problem and am almost posative its from ram. Usually rebooting would do the trick... just another reason to save often. Haven't had the same problem with my newer MPC, so must have more compatible (or better fitted) RAM.
