Yes, but I'm dedicated to getting the sound I want. It's no different from what we used to do way back in the 80's and 90s:
- Make beats at home and prepare samples using Tascam M-Series console
- Track beats at I.N.S. using their MCI 636 and whatever available outboard gear
- Track vocals at Funky Slice using their MCI 626 console and whatever available outboard gear
- Mix at Quad, Unique, Power Play, or Hit Factory using their SSL console and whatever available outboard gear
The only difference to me is I'm no longer jumping from cab to cab going from studio to studio. As long as I get the sound I want that's all that matters to me....
This I understand, but my questions is more inline with how are you using it? What techniques are you using, that allows for you to capture a certain sound?
