2000XL 8 Outs Board not working

Hi everybody,

I purchased a Mutec 8 Outs Board on eBay last week and regionized that it´s not working. The MPC 2000XL does not boot correctly an freezes in a state of "Memory Detecting".

After I pluged out the 8 Outs Board the MPC boots up correctly again…


Any ideas?

What you're describing is what happens when you connect the ribbon with the wrong orientation.

I sincerely hope that isn't the case as you are going to have much worse problems from doing so such as no longer being able to hear anything from the main outs.

Hmmm, the MPC works fine after disconnecting the ribbon cable. There is no chance to connect the ribbon cable the wrong way... The socket has reverse polarity protection. I‘m pretty sure that‘s not the problem...
