Effects on tracks

Hello!

I have the following situation:
I made a sequence with 6 tracks, on track 2 I have inserted an effect (Air Filter).
When I copy the sequence and change the effect it's also changed on sequence 1 but I don't want that.
What is the correct way to do this?

You have the insert effects, assigned to the program. So when you edit the effect on that program, it's going to change globally. You could copy the program and use alternate version on different sequences. Doing it this could be really tough to keep track of if, you have lots of programs.

You would have to name and organize it. Example below. (S1 = SEQUENCE 1 and S2 = SEQUENCE 2)

Sequence 1
S1 Program 1
S1 Program 2
S1 Program 3
S1 Program 4


Sequence 2
S2 Program 1
S2 Program 2
S2 Program 3
S2 Program 4


Sequence 3
S3 Program 1
S3 Program 2
S3 Program 3
S3 Program 4

or

Sequence 1
Program 1A
Program 2A
Program 3A

Sequence 2
Program 1B (COPY of Program 1A in Sequence 1. Edit the effect here won't change the other Seq.)
Program 2A
Program 3A

Sequence 3
Program 1C (COPY of Program 1A in Sequence 1. Edit the effect here won't change the other Seq.)
Program 2A
Program 3A

Perhaps someone else has another way to do it.

Write the settings for each individual sequence in each sequence as automation.

When in song mode and convert into one sequence, does the effect automation change over? The way I suggested does hold when converting to one long sequence, from song mode.

Well, that's the big question I guess. I believe there were/ are still problems with that. Or automate after converting it in a long sequence in Song mode. Anyway, there are multiple ways to address the OP's problem.

Sorry, I meant doesn't hold when converting to the a long sequence. It still adopts the first sequences effect. So automating after the convert seems like the best way.

I agree.

I'll use the other way I posted when I render stems. So I would just render each sequence separately. Do you know if the automation exports when rendered? I rarely auto on the mpc.

Okay, so the way I mention above, does export the effect when exporting straight from song mode as a two track or separate programs. However we can't explode track. I never work like this, so it's interesting seeing how it works.
