Hello,

I have a KEYSTATION 49MK3 keyboard, it has a REC button on it, and I would like to map that button via MIDI learn to the REC function on my MPC X is this something that can be done?

I have gone through all of the sub categories on the X and I am on v2.8 , there's a lot on there to map but no Rec or Overdub?

Am I missing something, or would this be a firmware update addition?
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
Regards

Possibly adjust the MMC settings in the Settings Menu?

Really do appreciate that bit you sent on how to set it up, however my Keystation MK3 49 only has USB. However it may help me decide on my next controller, so If I look for a USB and 5 pin din, I could use MMC with USB functions together....or wait for a Firmware update

Technically Midi is being emulated over USB... so it *ought* to be able to support MMC. I don't have a key station though... so unfortunately not able to help. Maybe reach out to tech support about the Keystation and see if they have any suggestions?

That's what I originally thought in regards to the emulation, however the MPC X allows you to map pretty much any signal to a designate function, other than the REC function which I was hoping to find in Midi section under LEARN - Master 1/2 but only has Vol, Pan, Mute I believe. Still its no big issue, I was just reaching out for some advice and appreciate the replies guys. :)
