Was wondering what everybody thought about this set up?

Does this make sense logically?

I've got all the instruments running into the MPC. And then I would do either the MPC into the studio interface if I want to bounce to a computer needed DAW or direct to the mixer.

Any other possible routing options that make me sense?

 Love the Font....

But This is exactly how i have my setup! Except for the Guitar.

I also have a Line In from the Audio Interface into the MPC. So i can Sample from YouTube, and my VSTi's.

Some mixers ARE multi-channel usb/firewire audio interfaces which can still be used with/without computer.

My setup is almost the opposite. Because of size there is a bit more to it, but to bring it in line, I have all my instruments AND MPC going to my mixer. From there I have outputs going to the MPC and into the computer. This way I can decide how much of what instruments to feed the MPC, I can throw on effects before the MPC, and its easier to add more gear. Your setup is limited by the connections on the MPC, if you go the other way, you are limited by the mixer. Just use Sends to get audio to the MPC from whatever mixer you are using.

Many ways to skin a Cat lol.

Yes.....But if i want to Track something into a DAW or Wavelab, i'll pull my MPC OUT...from the Mixer to my Audio Interface IN. If i dont, I'll have a Feedback Issue. But a Quick adjustment on the Interface will stop that.

Its My Organized Confusion

I'm going to have a Synthesizer, a guitar, and a microphone. So instruments. I actually dont have a mixer yet, is a mixer something I need or should have?

From your list you need an audio interface with at lease 6 inputs.

Synth: 2 channels
Guitar: 1 channel
Mic: 1 channel
MPC: 2 channel (Depends on which MPC you have and how many channels you want to use.)

So which MPC do you have? What audio interface do you have?

Whoops, I have A MPC X. Since the X is a standalone, I was thinking of plugging the synth, guitar, and mic directly into the X.

I have an Apollo Twin.

You could do that.

- Guitar into Input (front or back) and Mic into input 1 or 2 on the back.
- Synth into 3 & 4 on the back if it requires stereo.
- MPC X out to the Apollo Twin.

If you want to use all your outs of the MPC X, then you'll need some kind of 8-channel AD/DA Converters for your Apollo Twin. Here's a couple listed below to get you started in your research.

Aphex 141B
RME OctaMic II 8
Behringer ADA8200
