Lmao  l remember saying companies coming for Akai head lol Behr too is coming! Now look! If l was Ablive and want to keep my customers l would do a standalone better than M+! There will probably low rate of Akai swicth overs.
I would love to see Push 3 standalone.

Ablive users won't hurry to buy M+ or the MPC.

MPC X is heavy and huge also. I would say its a stationary unit instead of carrying it around constantly. :smoker:

Still, looking forward to it!

If the Push2 is heavy, you need to start doing some Push Up. :-D The push 2 is what 6 pounds? While the MPC X is 12 pounds, which is same weight as an MPC 2000XL.

PUSH 3, you can export Akai Projects and fully control the MPC SOFTWARE.

If Ablive do, its probably going to be over for Akai at that point.

This was leaked on purpose, now mofos are walking on egg shells now, and l can see Ablive users putting a halt on jumping to M+!

I wanna see how many companies jump on the bandwagon to make a standalone machine .
If they can do it well it will be f***ing epic and we get to see this crap!

I must say a dam good move to leak! This is chess not checkers! :smoker:

Basically, we are at a point where every Software DAW, will have their own controller and standalone machine. Perhaps this will lead to a standalone sampler/sequence that is also a desktop/laptop replacement, that won't rely on Windows OS or MAC OS.

Depends how you are using it. I don't have a dedicated studio, not even a desktop where I can keep my stuff permanently - I put it all in a closet and take out when I have some time for music. When I switched to Launchpad X the change was more than welcome :)

That's understandable. So it this was real, would you be interested in the PUSH 3?

Yes, because I wouldn't have to also take out my laptop & audio interface from the closet every time inspiration strikes and I have 1+ hours of time to "waste". That's why I got myself a MPC One few weeks ago. That's why I would get M+ instead if I knew it's coming :D

Must be rough having to do music like that, perhaps rent a small office and setup there.

Funny how all of this stuff is so cycle in nature. It seems like just 20 years ago we were having a mad rush to software lol!

I wouldn't count Akai out here... they've been heavy collaborators with Ableton for sure... and didn't they manufacture the Push/Push 2? I'm not sure it'd get Akai off of the Force update hook, but I'd be willing to bet that Akai would be fine working the hardware with Ableton if they were asked.

On the other hand though... I'm not sure Akai has the expertise in the x86 market, and I'd be curious to see how much Ableton has gained experience in the hardware market to be ready to pull this off on their own. A box that gives you Simpler/Sampler and clips could be a monster... then start throwing in all the other instruments, plugins, and effects... yikes. Max4Live would probably seal the deal for me.

Damn you Danoc for predicting the inevitable... now to wait and see how Akai responds.

Lmao
Awwwhh dam man lol
The New York Streets teach you a lot
Watch carefully how a company is moving and how they react to customers and you will always have your answer.

I use to get sucked into the vortex of Akai because of the MACHINE. Not anymore, its not advanced enough for me nor has the power l need so l made my move. But lm deep in love with music not the machine which is the way it suppose to be.
Akai keeps making moves that irrelevant to me so l've moved on to better. :smoker:

But l'm watching the digital standalone machine weather and see who will topple Akai, if so at all.

I wanna see what Push 3 will be and what Behringer brings to the table with its standalone. Behr is taking request from everyone at this time.
Thing is will they come right.
