2000Xl zone???

If you program a beat with sounds on the pads 35-50 pad bank A. Is there a way or how do you add a sample with the zone to play over the existing beat? Whenever I try to add a sample and spread it over the pads using the zone the existing beat is overwritten with the samples? I tried to put the samples on pad bank b but it only plays on bank a??? What am I missing?

probably the new sample is put as a program on the track where you already put some notes in. Check the program underneath your track...
