It changes my preset!

Hi community. I'm a newbie and have found it hard to find my answer. Maybe because I don't have the terminology down? Anyway, I'm trying to record multiple tracks using the same Plugin. Example: I use "The Bank" with a piano sound preset on one track.... THEN I load another "The Bank" Plugin with a guitar preset on another track. When I change it to guitar preset, it effects my first track where I wanted a piano sound! So frustrating. I can I layer different instruments into my music using the same Plugin? Thanks for any tips you have.

Hey brother, I think I understand the issue you're having because I have had it before too.

When you want to use the same Plugin on a different track, use a new Program.

For example:
1. You are using a plugin to create a piano melody. so you select track "1 Track 01"
2. then you select the "plugin" button
3. then under the Program section, you select the Plugin (and Preset?) you want to use.
4. you record your piano melody and it sounds great, so now you want to add a guitar countermelody to accompany your piano
5. so you select a new track, "2 (unused)" (or "2 Track 02", if you'd already selected it previously somehow)
6. then you select the "Plugin" button, if its not already checked
7. at this point the same Plugin from track "1 Track 01" will already be selected

Here is the trick:

BEFORE YOU LAUNCH THE PLUGIN WINDOW, click the dropdown arrow next to the Plugin name to open up the list of available plugins, and choose the "New Program" button.

This will create a new Program, "Plugin 002", which will treat the two plugins as distinct from each other.
