Starting a Production company

I'm sure people from the site have done this so I was hoping someone could cover from start to finish how you set up a production company so you can seel your beats... Who you register the name with??? etc...

Whatexactly does the whole process involve???

Same Rules apply for you as well, you will just be a Production Company instead of a label. Basically the same thing, just focusing on different business outlets.

something else, be sure EVERYBODY ur with in the bigining is someone you can trust. the more trustworthy people that are along, the smoother things will run.

I don't have a company but I've learnd from thoughs around me and there mistakes and I see that the less people you have around you the better..... In the beging do as much of the work load as you can on your own. This will insure that down the road when you hire or cotract folks to work for you, you see and konw how things should be done and they can't get over on you. Friend or Foe, when most people see an opprotunity to get over on you THEY WILL.

Thanks peoples... Appreciate the replys... Oh and also to Man VS Machine... I'm actually going to school for Music Production right now and business classes are a part of the curriculum... So basically even if I don't end up doing everything or most of it myself I will have some basic understanding of it... And thats my thoughts on that as well... The more you can do yourself the better of you are cause even if you hire others you can at least make sure you're not gettin f*cked...
