Thanks for the advice by the way, i will look into it in 1999-never...

So did you already found a good therapist or prostitute or would you need some help with that?

You already showed you are unable to provide any help. Pretty obvious your efforts are bringing you nowhere, story of your life? Good luck kid, you'll need it.

I'm done with you, as said before, so predictable.

Peeps need to stop bloating threads. Leave threads alone and on track.

Here i go...

Does the SP16 have a Touch Screen?

Pioneer appears to refer to the screen as a touch panel, while the reviews and spare parts market call it a touch screen. So I'd so yes, it has a screen that you can touch as an interface.

Hey guys I jump in to give a lil contribute (hopefully) which may help someone.
I had the Octatrack mk2 for like almost 2 years, and before that mk1 as well.
Let me say my favourite samplers of all time are the octatrack (which I sold) and the S 3000 (which I still have).
I am not probably a genius, but after few months I learned the Octa quite well, it makes sense from a music technology point of view, something is extremely slow to achieve, something else quite fast I would say.
It is the box of paradigm, you have to find your way through the machine and balance out your workflow.
I loved the form factor like the machine-drum/mono-machine, but for me the only stuff I could not adapt or find a workaround was the lacking of IO.
I could not get away with the fact that what you make into the octatrack stays in the octatrack, unless you track your music in 2 different "sessions" which IMHO ruins completely the vibe/worflow.
Elektron should have included a dedicated output for each tracks (8) so we could track out stuff as it was intended, this for me was the real deal breaker because I would ended up just recording L+R which is something I would not do even in the 90'.
So long story short I sold the Octa and I bought a second hand Akai Force for 700€ and I could be happier honestly.
Also I get rid of that fetichism I had towards the octatrack, I learn that machines are just stupid machine, it is the brain behind which matters, most.
A big kiss to all the fags and the butt-hurt ladies

Also I would not choose a machine based on sound in 2020, they all sound flat and more that good, it is not 2008 anymore.
It is going to have more impact on your sound the way you track and mix stuff for sure.
While the sp-16 may have a slight more pleasant sound, the mpc/force range got allot of flexibility and tools for achieving whatever you want to achieve in terms of sound and vibe.

I just bought and sold an OT mk2.Really cool box but like you say i dont wanna buy into the fetishism of dedicating to one workflow.Love the size and sound/detail tho.Very very musical machine.Using a SP16 atm.Far simpler but that can be good.Am able to sampler from anything and craft sound that feels full pro with some pioneer fairy dust via the onboard FX and analog filter plus using some burr brown converters (?) i think. Not a huge fan of the sequencer generally and prefer the basic vibe of the MPC. But there is tricks like parameter locks/modulation thats far out.Im using it to process samples and stems and trick then out live.Def tho its the person behind the machine....

When i want full power sequencing and big older school sound i have the trusty MPC4000.The combo of these two beasts and the IPAD is enough.....for me.No need to look else where.
