The Craziest thing

So I get a call from my boy 2 days ago and he tells me that this store that we used to dig at was going out of business and that they were giving away the stock. I went and took home 20 various sized boxes. My boy took home 20 boxes, and my next 2 boys took a next 12 boxes....... And straight up there wasn't even a dent in that shit. Its like I won the lottery!

Did you just take em to take em or were they all good selections?

Yo, I got some really good stuff, like some earth wind and fire records and some motown records and a whole bunch of other good stuff. I mean, on the 1st day, I actually dug through the stuff picked what I wanted, but on the 2nd day, I dug for a while....then I just started fillin boxes. I got some really weird/cool stuff. I got mad willie nelson and genesis records ( a guilty pleasure of mine) so all in all it was a good dig.

@ phats... that is the find of a lifetime... or at least the next 10 years... a lot of cats ask bout where the best place to dig is @ but it seems like to me the best finds.. or at least the best deals are always in ur own neighborhood. Nothing quite beats finding some records in the mon morning garbage or getting some donations from friends or neighbors.......... 12 boxes.... damn... i got one box from satellite records old warehouse/basement in brooklyn. i took that on the subway all the way home to harlem... and that took about a month before i went through all of em... have fun

I agree 100% man. Like I said, I picked up some weird stuff, stuff Iwould not have gone out and spent 5 bucks on. And honestly, there's some good stuff in terms of what I can chop up, let alone the fact that my drum library is gonna be crazy. I need to hook up my EPS and start sampling all the new drums trough it.
