Timestretch tuned loop.

Why does the Tune option in Sample Edit not work with Timestretch?

Having a 140bpm sample, I want to Tune it down -2.
Then timestretch it to 96bpm (with tune settings)
The sample is not stretched properly. Only setting Tune back to 0 helps.

What am I doing wrong?

Ive had some success with Warping a Sample in Prog Edit....Then....16 Level the Pad.

Its only as good as the initial Warp tho.

But thats more or less Pitch Shifting

When I find a loop I like, I go to SAMPLE EDIT and press the “FROM BPM” so it’ll automatically tune it and then then I just adjust the pitch back to 0.00.

So, if after I tune my loop and it’s -5.86, I’ll just adjust the pitch to +5.86 to get it sort of back to the original sound.

I usually stretch it first to match the bpm, then tune it

Ok, I've figured it out.

1. First you need to detect BPM (It will probably be wrong anyway).
2. Tune sample
3. Calculate a new BPM based on the tune parameter and the number of bits in the sample.
This point is strange. Sometimes for a sample with a real 4 bits, you need to select parameters 8, 16 or 32.
But it finally works, you can change the key of the sample and keep its BPM.
4. Go to Process > Timestretch, set new BPM. Done.

The warp option in program edit is more convenient, but by slowing down the sample there, you cannot chop it after that.

Yeah, see I do the third step and then just pitch shift back to 0.00.
