I am using a Samson G Track Pro condenser mic that has a trs to xlr cable which is inputted into Input 1 Rear of my mpc x. Record arm is engaged, phantom power on and gain ALL THE WAY UP. I do get noise when plugging in and unplugging the mic but I cannot record any actual audio. Any recommendations or help here? May even look into getting a whole new mic altogether

I could be wrong but I’m not sure that It will give phantom power out of trs as mic are always usually on xlr. Maybe someone else can confirm?

Have you got another mic working on it but that’s the thing I’m wondering about, I assume you have the correct input selected for the audio track.

Did you check all monitoring and input settings? Did you arm the track?

This. No phantom power on TRS applied.

Also, different impedance on the input. TRS uses 600 Ohms (@+4 dBu), XLR between 1000 and 5000 Ohms (although that can vary a lot). That‘s also (and especially) the case on combo ports.
