You'll be highly upset if you sell your Live. I suggest stackin up some bread and Buy the Force in conjunction with your Live. Two Different Workflows

There's nothing really to fix there because the FORCE is not a MPC.

Well, it loads all mpc programs, only thing missing is the midi data, should be doable...
At least when they merge the two firmwares..

Finish all the projects on your Live, back them up on your computer because you still have access to the MPC software after selling the Live, so you can always go back to your MPC projects when necessary. Then sell it and buy the Force.

It's probably not that hard for Akai to merge the firmware, but I bet that won't happen for commercial reasons.

If they merge them, they would basically eliminate any reason to have live, live 2, or one. It is doable, but will they do it.

@menco: yes, I am thinking about that already, but still not 100% sure..
Basically I only do music on the MPC, all project are in the MPC Format.
Some Years ago I basically lost everything Ihave made before on the Laptop, because thieves robbed my appartment, and I don’t want to start again from scratch..
There have been serious rumors about merging the Live/One/X firmware and the Force firmware some time ago, I will stay tuned.

Funny, how suddenly the Force came on my radar, I knew about it all the time but never spend a thought about it, except that it looks „a bit weird“.. The new fw came out, looked many youtube videos about it and now I am wondering why I haven’t bought it in the very beginning^^

+1000
but it would affect the Force sales ,so I don’t think Akai would ever implement it .

Yeah, but none of Akai Pro's Keyboards or Pad controller are full integrated with each other and this was before the Force came out.  Some of them are mapped to the MPC SOFTWARE. Why not just move that mapping to the MPC's.
