Let me preface everything with this, I've watched all the mpc beats academy and master class videos several times and I'm still stuck on stupid on several things.

Is there a tech support number to call? speaking to somebody on the phone would really help. I really want this to work.

Here' a few of my issues.

1. when I try to install hardware update for mpk3 mini at first it opened, and then said to install I have to close all apps. I closed all apps and it still didn't work. I tried to re-download the hardware update and now my computer won't even open it. I'm running OSx Catalina with latest update.

2. I am also not seeing the option for MPK3 mini only the MPK2 mini in MPC Software, in the latest version. If I click on mpk2 mini for mapping, kick and snare is reversed, and some of the pads and dials aren't mapping at all.

2. I bought an MPK249 but I cannot get OS X catalina to even recognize it, so far it's a big paperweight, I can't map anything. Does the MPK249 even work with the MPC Software? As of now I'm thinking of returning it to amazon and just using the mini, which sucks because I really liked the feel of the keys better.

3. On the MPK249 mini how do I get the pads to switch to playing chords in plugin mode. I can click on the chords in the software and hear them, but when I click the pads I get a single note and no chords, no matter what I do?

The product demos are good for showing off the musical capabilities of the software, not so much for technical support. Check out the comprehensive manual in the help menu. It will answer many of your questions present and future.

Some info regarding Catalina

I am also not seeing the option for MPK3 mini only the MPK2 mini in MPC Software, in the latest version. If I click on mpk2 mini for mapping, kick and snare is reversed, and some of the pads and dials aren't mapping at all.

A lot of people have that issue at first. The solution is painless.

Any midi controller can be mapped even if there isn't a "option" presented in the menu. It's mostly there as a convenience, but it actually ends up confusing more people than it seem to help.

Does the MPK249 even work with the MPC Software?

It does

While in main mode go to pad perform. For the top pull down menu, change the option from notes to chords, or progression, or whatever option you want.

You also must make sure your controller pads are mapped to the software's pads correctly, or they will simply play notes.

I still have the mpk249, I read the manual and followed the directions to the letter as far as setting up the keyboard and still it won't sync up. I would love to get the 249 working and not have to send it back. can someone give me a step by step guide to set it up that's more detailed than what's in the manual, pictures or a video would really help

The other thing that is happening is that since I stopped trying to make the mpk249 work, I upgraded to the mpc 2.0 full version software, but when I plugged my MPK3 mini it no longer mapped, and it doesn't even see the mpk3 mini only the MPK mini2, when I load up mpk2 map the kick and snare on the first two pads are reversed and the fourth pad plays nothing and I can't figure out how to remap it.  :(

It's hard to really diagnosis what is the definitive issue since we don't have all the information regarding your setup.

- Is the power button turned on?
- What kind of power supply are you using?
- What kind of usb cable are you using?
- How long is the cable
- Are you using a usb hub
- Is the hub powered
- What kind of usb connection?
- What happens when you plug the keyboard into another device?

Instead of giving us the answer to those questions It is probably more helpful to check and see if anyone else is having the same issue.

You basically erased your previous setup and installed new software then. So nothing is going to work as it did unless you configure it again.

and it doesn't even see the mpk3 mini only the MPK mini2, when I load up mpk2 map

Refer to what I said earlier about those maps confusing people. It's ok. You're not the first. Won't be the last. You should make your own map, with it's own name to avoid confusion.

The manual is going to be really helpful for you going forward. It's in the help section in the main menu.
