Akai Software....2012

:worthy:

That may be true, but LUNA is still their first software D.A.W. While Akai Pro has been making productions software and hardware for a long time. Is it really that hard for them to take MPC 4000, 5000, or 2500 and port it over to Windows or MAC OS.

Reaper has been around since 2004, Ardour which is a free Software D.A.W was released in 2005. There is no excuse, Akai Pro has all the tools at their disposal. Denon DJ, Alesis, Air, M-Audio, MixMEISTER, Numark, Rane and Sonivox. The MPC SOFTWARE should be complete MONSTER.

Difference between the Two.....UA has probably been under One Tutelage since its Inception....whereas Akai has Bounced its Ownership and Overseeing Multiple Times. Hiding Code from the Next Overseer. Different Hands With Different Goals throughout the years.

That may be why Akai is struggling

That true.....or they just have too many projects. I mean the Force works better with ableton, than the MPC works with the MPC SOFTWARE.

Akai May be gettin their Sh*t together now. Seems like they had to Shutdown Service Support Communication. Gather their Acorns and line them up accordingly. Hopefully Re-invent the Service Support side of things.

Hopefully they'll concentrate on the MPC Software

:worthy: I agree with you! :worthy: That is the 2nd reason I had to let go. If I could get the MPC 2000XL with some new tech in it, like exporting, bouncing etc man I would buy it again  when companies go to another companies it can sink or sail, in this case of Akai it's sinking. My point is I won't get stuck with hardware from a company that's not supporting something in the future. Not saying that's the case now, but I like to look ahead.

A particular bug that bugs me in 2.8.1 standalone is the addition preview time. Can't audition samples longer than 30 seconds. The unlimited time doesn't work. I've been waiting for someone else to report this but it seems like everyone is too busy downloading loops. I mean expansion packs.

Still waiting on confirmation.

Is this a bug or not?

Awwwwh come on man, that's like saying "TRUMP DURING THIS ELECTION LOOKING LIKE HE IS GOING TO LOSE, HE MAY BE GETTING HIS SH*T TOGETHER" LOL hhahaahaaaa  And we all know that's not true.

I would love them to make a MPC from the ground up, take some of the ideas from older machines, but make it up to date. Make it dope, put HDMI on the back (MPC3000 had VGA), give the exporting and bouncing, give more OPTIONAL ram so we can have more than 8 audio tracks. That's wack even for the X. :Sigh: The X should be able to at it's very least do 24 audio tracks, for $2,500 dollars? I ain't going to lie, the converters in the MPCs are freakin dope! Keep that. Now I don't care for that touch screen stuff they can keep that, just make a screen where you can see your midi and what not.

Oh what about this, if Akai could let us add a mouse, cause a mouse doesn't bother me and I have seen others also say they would love that. But what if Akai give 4 USB ports plus the ether port. Now this may sound crazy, get with Presonus, Behringer AND Avid for the S1 control, cause some of us love the touch feel to mixing, not that screen touch stuff. It doesn't feel natural.

Plus disk screaming , and able to have as many audio tracks as the optional ram allows man I will tell you the truth I WOULD BUY THAT CRAP!   Make the machine functions as optional not limited, Man 40 I would be all over that. That would be a perfect opportunity to to have a smaller set up. Man I will buy me a 40 inch screen LOL hahahahaaaa  and connect it to that bi*** and go!!! Can you imagine having a single fader next to the MPC and mixing precise? That would definitely make it a center piece. Maybe I'm buggin with this fantasy LOL haaaaahahaa

Part computer, DAW, Music sequencer, etc. I don't know how many would like that but man that would kick other companies in the ass! I mean I don't think they would be able to catch up. LOL

Do proper beta testing don't make us buy it like in 2017 and we be beta testers LOL So we can make sure to kill the bugs and make it a minimum or no bugs LOL

As far as the software, I won't use it but there may be others that don't have any DAWs like I have or a DAW at all and would depend on Akai's DAW, build that from the ground up, make it less clutter, make sure it's stable. Make sure it can handle VST2 and VST3. It would be great to have an Akai Software DAW that works and looks great. The only way to accomplish a bonified DAW from Akai is to tell the truth, the DAW is not up to par, and there is an ugly nest of bugs in it. If we keep saying everything is ok, Akai is coming with this or that, we are fooling ourselves. Hold Akai accountable for this, just cause I say Akai is bugging don't blame that ish on me LOL Hating is when someone tells false crap on you, but when you tell the truth that is not hating.

I'll admit I'm a software plugin whore blaaaaaaaaahhhhh    :smoker:

I did the same in the software. I played a longer file and I switched outputs during playback. No crash though. Would there be a reason why switching the outputs might cause a crash?
