So, MPC 2.8 is out, titled 'Multi Midi'. I've installed it but still can't work out how to control multiple drum programmes via external midi (e.g. Apple Logic) . I'm using the MPC in controller mode and Apple Logic is using the midi ports of the MPC Live to control everything. I set up external midi tracks on Logic, set them to go to e.g. MPC Live Port A Ch1, and the MPC drum track was set up to receive on MPC Live Port A Ch 1 but the drum hits/pads are not triggered. Any ideas anyone?

Working fine here
16 stereo outs from mpc to reaper
16 midi outs from reaper to mpc
Each track set to corresponding midi chanel and monitor set to in.

Each programs notemap was changed to -2 chromatic for ease of use in reaper and drum map labeled to suit

Standard mpc drum maps jump all over the scale.

Midi over USB to mpc internal midi. As a plugin

Haven't tried via my audio interface via 5 pin yet

The demands for a digital drum machine/production workstation are now pretty rigorous, largely because we’ve been spoiled by computers. Akai’s approach uniquely does everything software would when connected to your PC/Mac, then acts effectively as a standalone PC when it’s on its own.

A lot of people make music on keys and use workstation or something like this. They like big keybed and play 2 instruments at the same time. Usually this keyboard have easy midi mapping and split for the keyboard. So they can have a nice template with their favourite preset and use the MPC like a sound module with their workstation and decide what bring into what.
