Any suggestions appreciated. The bottom 8 pads of mpc live are not triggering samples in any mode, track mute, program mode, or sequence mode etc. They are also lit up all the time.
So far I've tried updating the hardware, and resetting all settings. I fear it's a hardware issue either faulty model or water damage, but I've bought it new and kept in good nick. So I want eliminate any software problems that might be causing it first
- automation ? (**** I hate it I wish I could just disable it)
- some wierd setting where the pads are split between drum and midi or something?
- any other ideas?
If it is hardware, could I open it up and maybe clean it and check water damage?
Would the Mpc stuff pad sensors and new pads possible solve the problem, and if not can I order a pad replacement kit (like with the mpc 1000)?
Bummed out actually, I've had an mpc 1000 for years, never let me down, and easy to fix hardware problems. With the mpc live not so much it seems, but I do find the work flow easier on the live, and have got use to.

Any help appreciated mpc headz!

[quote="NearTao"]Is it the same issue as this?

Yep that's exactly it. The bottom 8 pads are lit up, and totally unresponsive. Doesn't seem the guy in the video offers a solution? Oh man hope it's not a lemon. Recently replaced all my tact switches on MPC 1000 and works like a charm, love how the legacy models can be fixed pretty easy, but the MPC Live - go figure.

Anyone ... Where to from here?
