OS version on new units?

Anyone buy a live mk2 recently? What’s the OS version on your unit?
I just copped a fresh stock ‘new’ unit but it doesn’t have latest OS installed... Wanna check I didn’t get thrown a b-stock/repaired unit for full price.

When I bought mine new it shipped with 2.8.0 I think, even when 2.8.2 was already out. I suspect it's just part of the manufacturing process and unlikely a sign of b-stock.

Thanks for info. Mine unboxed with 2.7.2...Just seemed weird that new stock’s shipping with firmware that old? Unit seems ok and updated to current firmware no probs, so normally I wouldn’t get hung up, just be good to feel sure the battery hasn’t already taken a beating.

Mine had 2.7.x on it as well. Bought it brand new from Guitar Center.

My one, which I traded for a live MK1, also came with 2.7.2

Yeah it all depends on how long it sat in the warehouse really. At my last job we saw it with our shit Amazon sold all the time. Someone is in a hurry and starts grabbing from a new pile of stuff that comes in, the ones still in the warehouse get left in the back and forgotten. Few months later someone puts in an order and they grab that one in the back. We had people getting brand new appliances that we had revised and changed more than a year ago and no longer carried or sold parts for because of it heh.

When I bought my Live it had just come in to Guitar Center (the one they managed to get in stock hah), this was last December so 2.7 was a few months into its release already, and it had 2.4 on it.

I just bought a new ONE direct from Akai and it came with 2.7 something. I think you're good.
