Of i was to guess this month if I'm a realist January.. but normally Wednesday or Thursday updates .. in the US turkey day is the last Thursday.. so not much time.....

What if though Akai announced or didn't announce 2.8.1 was the last update. What would yall do?

hahaha ok ok got it. So I get I should update to 2.8 then. I have been stuck at the 2.6 I think so there should be some good updates for me anyways.
I guess I was hoping I could skip the bugs introduced by 2.8 but you guys have a good point that most likely the new update will introduce it's own bugs so no reason to wait much longer.

Make sure if you open projects made in 2.6 on 2.7/2.8, that you save them with a different name, or add f28 or something to the name... because if you overwrite your projects made on 2.6 with 2.8, you won't be able to go back and open them in 2.6 if you have over written the content.
That, or just make a 2.6 backup to your computer so you have a snapshot you can go back to if necessary.
