Play Start Button , recording into Logic & exploding track

Does anyone know if it is possible to use the play start button to play with a sequence live while recording into Logic X and then explode the tracks , I want to play the Mpc 1 on the fly and then have the option to remix all the drums on separate tracks in logic. I know how to to arrange sequences and arrange a song and explode tracks but is there any way to play live , record and explode to mix later . Maybe i would need to put each drum on a separate track to begin with ?
