Hi there!
I am a mpc one rookie, doing live experimental sound collage type of music.
One of my basic methods is this:
I have long loops playing at the same time and by mapping the mute button of every loop to my controller i let them be heard every now and then trying to mix them that way, on the fly (and also play one shot sounds on top). I tried this in two ways in mpc one:
First I tried a clip program by mapping the “pad mute”. The problem is that if the loop is muted when is starting you can’t hear it until it starts again. I understand that this is a bug in 2.8 and didn’t exist at previous firmware. Any suggestions?
The second way is using a drum program and map the pad mute. The huge problem is that in order to have a loop running infinitely, you have to be in “note on” mode and keep pressing the pad. So If you want to play synchronously several loops (like u do in a clip program) you have to keep pressing all the pads!! Is there any way to have a loop running infinitely in “one shot” mode??
Any suggestions generally, on how I could play that way with mpc one?

As a workaround, send the clips to submixes and mute/unmute them. it can only handle 8 clips...
