Best rack sampler

Hey I was just about to get a rack sampler and I was wither gonna go with the S5000 or 2 S3000's, does anyone have any sugetions?

S5000, beats having two 3000's for sure.

get an s950 and a s3200xl. one for grungy 12bit the other for the rest.

I've been doing tests between an S950 and a Casio FZ-10M and I have to say that the Casio is the closest reproduction of the SP-1200 sound I have found to date (Casio ???? found it for $65 on ebay) . The only thing it doesn't have that the S950 does is timestretch . But it does have a more intuitive interface, 2 megs of RAM, standard SCSI port in back, a delay effect and some of the dopest resonance filters I've ever heard in a grungy sampler .

I Heard That The E5000 and EMU Family ARE GOOD I Also Heard the Yamahas Are Good and NOW Quite Cheap !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


But DO U NEED 1 IS The Bigger Question ......................

i have an esi2000 which i love, and a yamaha a5000 that i have been neglecting. the a5000 is a monster though and its very cheap.

i got mines for $400

yeah i dont really like having 4 samplers. i got the mpc, esi2000, yahama a5000, and kontakt up in this bitc*. Its cool casue i like to switch gears but i neglect shit.

I got the 60, an emax and the S6000. it's good since the 6k speaks akai, and I know the 60 sampler really well, not too much to know, but there are cool tricks in there that I like better than filters.

The emax has some cool stuff but I need to get into it more which is what I'll be doing tonight, everything sounds great on this thing, but it can be cranky and the memory isn't too great.

yeah i just setup my a5000 again last night. it sucks transfering files casue u gotta manually make programs. I use recycle to chop so i like to just shoot it over and have it map out automatically. Its a little time consuming. But the esi i can just export with the quickness. the yamaha is bad ass though if u sample with it and chop with it. U got mad effects, filters and the whole nine. i just wish the scsi pc shit was a bit smoother. so right now its on mulitsample detail. I have some nice key batches and basses in there so its been gettin some love.

try the loop remix stuff, it's a dope yammie feature.

yeah that shit is pretty cool with drums. U can have it rearrgne the whole loop with reverses and diff zones. Its real cool. I like how u can record with effects on too. I would reccomend it to anyone who needs a rack, but does not use the pc to edit.
