2.9 Is out

It's really good for a built in freebie, need more time with it. But for me this is more usable than the other synths. So many parameters, can see lots of ways I would use this. Seems well thought out with multi drum plugin. Just need to know to setup chokes, if that's missing not end of the word as u can always setup a drum program with chokes for say hi hats.

sorry to sound dumb, but what is the instant track mute bug y'all talking about? i think i don't have issues with track mutes... it is perhaps related to recording track mutes? (i have that disabled because its annoying when i'm doing automations and incidentally leave a track muted).

In Previous Firmwares...When You muted a Track, You were able to STILL trigger the Pads While the Track was Muted. Currently....When you Mute the Track now, The Track is Muted to where you CANNOT hear the Triggered Pads. You may want to Mute the Track and Practice different Variations on that Active Track, before you re-record or whatever.

Not A Detrimental Thing...There is a Workaround to it tho. But Kinda Weird

After the 2.8 update, the drum tracks behaviour changed so that you could no longer work with instantly muting and unmuting tracks. E.g. You have a track thats supposed to be triggering a bunch of sample chops in a 4 bar loop and you've got it muted. The pads are being triggered on the first beat of every bar. You want to unmute the track on say the 3rd beat of a bar, but when you unmute it's silent as if nothings been triggered whilst being muted, so you have to wait until the next pad is triggered whilst unmuted before it'll start to play.

When 2.8 first came out, I saw a lot of people say it screwed their project files that had recorded track mutes so I'm staying on 2.7 until it's been fixed.

If Hype ever does appear on the MPC, it will likely be in 3.x - if ever. Arrangement view was teased to be coming to the MPC line in 3.0, but who knows if those plans have changed. As far as 3.0, I wouldn't expect to see it at least for another 6 months from now (as it took 6 months for 2.9 to appear after 2.8 )... There's a lot of people hoping that a new MPC X will appear at some point. We'll see what happens in 2021...

like the previous plugins contained in updates, the guis are so bad and wastful of space theres no way i could stand going thru 8 pages of edits to tune a drum or synth patch, esspecially when the screen realestate is wasted with pictures of tubes or kick drums, mega fail again from inmusic

This is more of hold you over update, I expect another announcement and some kind of update in January 2021.
As far as the Drum Synth goes, I'm sure people will find ways to use.

so its two different issues:
-no triggering when track is muted
-no unmuting after the sample is triggered when in mute
the second issue seems to span from the fact that now the mute is a "midi" mute, where before it was an audio mute.
question: if you mute it on the mixer (or pad mixer) screen and then unmute it? i suppose this workaround should work!

Lmao I told people Akai is wack the way they move. Bottom line is why would l wait on a company l know dam well will not build the MPC as powerful as l need it to be a CENTER PIECE of my studio? I'd rather use a powerful badass computer , midi keyboard , LPD8 and a sweet powerful DAW. I don't need the MPC at that point.

I hope people can make good on their MPCs but dammm... I can't keep writing a company that don't listen.

Having trouble grabbing this. It says:

"DrumSynth is available for free as part of a major update to these products. Click on your product to download now."

I click on software, as I own 3 licenses, and it takes me to the software sale page. One other thing I notice is that there are choices to pay outright, make payments, or subscribe. Currently using my third Studio, my second Studio Black

No freaking way am I paying for this when I already did so. I'll wait until I get my X. Sucks about the bugfixes, though. I actually already gave my Studio to my son. 2.8.1 is still saying it's the current version in-program.

I also notice that the subscription is the only one that says "Includes all updates." The other two say "Includes 2x updates."

Do you have MPC Software 2.0 listed under, My registered products. If yes, click on the see details, scroll down and download 2.9 update. If not you need to fork over that cash. It's 50 bucks here.
