100% truth. The negative vibes about akai is a main reason i don't lurk around the forum not so much anymore.

Same, it has become a hipster dump over here and I'm pretty sure they can't even fill a 4 bar loop..

Right up your 808 alley. :smoker:

Ahhhhhhhh.. All TR's are beautifull! I've recently got a Roland TR8-S, which also has a FM synth in it which is a lot of fun, but this plugin gives a bit more shaping tools which i really dig.

Might have to sell the TR8-S if this plugin is so good.

Not sure about the hipster dump :D but i do notice that for a lot of people it's easier to ask the simplest things instead of researching for yourself. For me, that's actually a part I really love about this shit. Getting nerdy as f*ck and get in depth with what i want to know and figure it out myself.

But enough hating on haters! Gonna make some friggin food and install this fukker and explore all this new stuff :)

Some is going to love this and some ain't going to love this Drum Synth. It means nothing to them. They are looking for more things that are important.
I would rather the bugs fixed than to keep dropping stuff on me. If Akai give me something and the bugs attack, I wouldn't be able to rock the stuff Akai dropped on me. LOL  And some may not know how to use the Drum Synth so it means nothing to them. Some don't wanna buy Tutor's MPC PDF guide to help them, let alone shape their own drums. :smoker:

Damn can’t wait to check this out this weekend. Was also thinking about the behringer 808 but I’m thinking this and the analog heat I already have might be a way better solution, just even for the real estate the rd808 would take up.

I’m not sure why they can’t shoot out small bug fixes every other month. I doesn’t have to be a huge list of fixes either. Just one or 2 every other month.

True. That would help immensely with those that purchased the unit.

Basically....The DrumSynth was implemented to Match Maschine's Drum Synth. Akai's tryin to pull NI users over to the Akai side of the World

Then they need to stop adding gimmicks and start looking at the reason people stopped buying Akai samplers in the first place back in 2002, KONTAKT.

From a company and marketing point of view, it makes total sense for akai to feature this first. Also, we don't know their planning, Maybe they already scheduled this months ago.

Well if we all remember back to NAMM, they were showing it off there, although I don't think they were doing it very loudly. The only reason the non-NAMM folks knew was because someone snuck pictures of the display showing it online. Its actually pretty decent for what it is, the 909 and 808s in it will do the trick but man, there is so much hanging that needs to be wrapped up, they're never going to have this thing solid and stable until they just STOP and tell everybody NO MORE **** TOYS LET US FIX IT FIRST.

But they also have to deal with this mindset the younger gen seems to have that you buy a half finished product and expect the manufacturer to keep it evolving.. That's not how it works. Its a tool. You buy it to do the job it does. I'm not sitting around waiting for Estwing to send me a firmware update for my hammer that lets me start using it as a screwdriver. That's what my screwdriver is for and that's what all the other drum synths I have are for. They dont belong in a drum sampler really.

The way it reads (a lot of times) on this forum is that these bugs or missing features are so disastrous that you can't even make music or it gets users demotivated, upset or even angry. It's funny actually, the other day i was talking to a former collague who uses his mpc x a lot and releases his own records. When I asked him about experiencing any bugs, he just looked at me with these big droopy anime eyes, having no clue what i was talking about.
