Massive amount of new standalone plugins coming to MPC

Yup. Xpand2! is next! Good time to own a MPC One, MPC Live, MPC Live 2 and MPC X.

MPC One, such a sexy beast. I can take my projects with me omw to work and it's so powerful. I paid 550 for mine (eur) and that's just a crime.

Did you even sidebyside compare them? I've been working on my 4K for over 15years. Now I have the One and I never touched the 4K again. It's a nobrainer, it sounds much better, it's 1000x faster, it's up to date with todays standards.. I'm getting the X as well. But the One is so good to have with me in the oublic transport, airplanes and such. It has so much hours on the 50000Mah battery. It's a total beast man. The X will be here soon as well. Very glad I can finally drop my 4K since I expect it to die soon. Oh, and you liked the pads on the 4K right? I know I did. Well, they don't even come close to the responsiveness of the pads on the one.

Hard to imagine right? It's a nobrainer, the 4K simply isnt the best MPC anymore... period, time to move on.

Was told the same thing. Got a MPC Live and now I’m looking at getting the MPC Live 2 or the MPC X. I do want to try out the speaker in the MPC Live 2 (the MPC Live machines are VERY unique; battery-powered and now have attached speakers).

I forget there's a battery in there sometimes. I think Ive used it on its own like 5x since I got it last year haha. I just hope its not one of those circuits that doesn't work without the battery when it dies.

I honestly wonder if we'll see Xpand or Xpand2! at all on the MPC. Isn't it possible that those binaries are just references for controlling the plugins in Controller Mode? I hope I'm wrong, though. Anyway, I'm still salty that we didn't get Hype Synth on the Live/X/One. That one seems like a no-brainer.

Maybe one day. For now, I guess we’ll have to rock out with the rest of the plug-ins. I never used HypeSynth, so ignorance is bliss. LOL.

I was one of the original Live owners that sold and upgraded to the Live 2. Speakers are incredibly useful for me, but that's because I constantly use them as monitors when sampling from various sources. I don't run my turntable into a mixer - it's either plugged into my Live 2 or into my RME Babyface Pro. Using Live 2's built-in speakers allow me to quickly monitor without messing with cans. I also take my Live 2 out of the studio a lot, so if you're the sort of person that won't really take their MPC anywhere, then the X might be a better fit if you need the inputs and easier control (the OLED displays and additional Q-links, along with dedicated buttons are awesome).

Anyway, back in topic - you were one of those who were holding out for the Drum Synth to appear. Have you spent some time with it? What's your take?

It's crazy how versatile and well-sounding Drumsynth is, right? Lots of fun to be had with it!
Now bring on that FMX & Hype and I'm done
I don't even need the arranger, although I wouldn't mind it obviously

Not personally but Ill ask on the Facebook group. Some of those folks are dumb enough to try it hahaha.
The Live is probably one of the few electronic devices I have Ive never opened. With how touchy they are Im not messing with it until the warranty is long gone just to be safe.
